Following the report of the Treatment Committee of the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus on the relative increase in the number of patients and people hospitalised in some areas, including Tehran, the President said, "These statistics prove the accuracy of the resolutions and protocols that the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus has so far passed".
Speaking on Thursday at the meeting of the Chairmen of the Committees of the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus, Dr Hassan Rouhani stressed, "We should emphasise the strict observance of health protocols in Arbaeen and the mourning ceremony of the month of Safar more than before".
The President also referred to the report of the Education and Treatment Committees on the beginning of the school year in schools and universities and the level of observance of health protocols, emphasising that maintaining the health of students is the first priority and, in this regard,, classes are planned to be held in face-to-face and online manners with regard to the conditions of each region.
The President called on the Minister of Education and the Minister of Health and Medical Education to monitor the observance of the instructions, and that school principals are responsible for full observance of health protocols and must ensure that the instructions are followed.
The President instructed the Information and Advertising Committee to consult with the media to warn of the effects of the publication of fake news on the concern of families and anxiety in society.
Dr Rouhani referred to the preliminary report of the Treatment Committee of the screening plan of the participants before and after the entrance exam and said, "This report, which indicates that the entrance exam is held in perfect health, shows that a great and successful work is coordinated by the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus and ministries of Health and Medical Education and Science and Technology".
The President added, "Holding entrance exams all over the country with the observance of maximum health protocols and the lowest rate of infection, has been one of the brilliant and great works of the government during the outbreak of this disease, and this model of holding entrance exams has the ability to be presented internationally to ensure both physical and mental health and the future of students and scholars".
