Huge blast hits Afghan capital

Kabul, A large explosion hit an educational center in the west of the Afghan capital, Kabul on Wednsday.

Naurouz Ali Mohammadi, an eyewitness told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that the explosion has gone off in an education center dubbed as Mauo'od.

At least 14 people have been killed and 23 others wounded during Wednesday's attack that targeted a training class in a private building in the Shia neighborhood of Dasht-e-Barchi, a spokesman for Afghanistan's ministry of public health Waheed Majrooh told local media.

Afghan police has intensified security around the explosion site.

Police and government officials have not provided more details on the issue.

Heshmat Stanikzai, a spokesman for Kabul police commander announced that it has been a suicide bomb attack.

According to the dispatches, Zabihullah Mujahid, Taliban spokesman, denied involvement in the attack.
