Hungary declares support for Iran nuclear deal
Tehran� Hungarian economy minister on Monday declared support for Iran's nuclear deal, also known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) reached between Iran and the Group 5+1 (the US, China, France, Britain and Russia plus Germany) in July 2015.
'Hungary as an independent country and as a member of the European Union (EU) will defend the JCPOA agreement there is no reason for violating or changing it,' Mihaly Varga said in a meeting with the Iranian First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri.
He said that the EU countries, in particular Hungary, attach importance to Iran's role in fighting terrorism and establishment of stability and security in the region.
The official called for the establishment of direct flight between Tehran and Budapest as well as removal of obstacles in the way of boosting banking relations between the two countries.
