ICAN supports Iran nuclear deal
Tehran, Beatrice Fihn, the Executive Director of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), on Monday voiced ICAN's strong support for the nuclear deal reached in 2015 between Iran and the six world powers.
Writing on her official Twitter account, Fihn described her meeting with Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on the sidelines of 2018 Munich Security Conference as 'productive'.
She said she had called on Iran to join the nuclear ban treaty.
Since the implementation of Iran nuclear deal, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has several times confirmed Iran's commitment to the Accord. This is while the United States, as a party to the deal, has repeatedly threatened to step away from it.
Iran says it will continue to honor its commitments under the provisions of the deals as long as the accord is not violated by the other parties.
