ICF lauds Iran’s potentials to develop canoeing
Tehran, The International Canoe Federation (ICF)’s top official hailed the progress of Iran in this sport field and declared its support for Iranian canoe and kayak athletes.
Vice President of the International Canoe Federation (ICF) Thomas Konietzko who is also the Chair of German Canoe Federation met with President of Iran’s National Olympic Committee Reza Salehi Amiri in Tehran on Friday.
During the meeting held in the presence of Secretary General of Confederation of African Canoeing Seif Patwa, the ICF president lauded Iran’s potentials to develop canoeing and said that ICF would support Iran Canoeing, Rowing and Sailing Federation.
The official described Iran’s canoe federation a successful example in this field.
In the meantime, president of Iran’s National Olympic Committee for his part referred to existence of sea in both southern and northern parts of Iran and several huge dams in the country and praised the potentials of Iranian youth in this sport field.
He called for ICF support for Iranian Canoeing Federation and said that Iran has the capacity to host the International Canoe and Kayak Competitions.
