IFIF, FAO members discuss Iran investment opportunities
The International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in their annual meeting studied investment opportunities in Iran.
The IFIF and FAO in their annual meeting, held in Italy's capital, Rome (Nov 8-9, 2018), lauded the capacities of Iran feed industry, Iran Feed Industry Association chairperson Majid Movafeq-Qadiri said.
He noted that the IFIF and FAO members expressed interest in investment in Iran Feed Industry.
Iran ranks 18th among the feed producing countries but it has the potential to promote its rank to 10th, the official noted.
The International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF) represents and promotes the global feed industry as an essential participant in the food chain that provides sustainable, safe, nutritious and affordable food for a growing world population.
The IFIF is made up of national and regional feed associations from Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, North and South America and the Middle East, as well feed related organizations and corporate members from around the globe. Overall, the IFIF members represent over 80% of total compound animal feed production worldwide.
