Iran to join Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia/Permit to increase Iran's assets in World Bank Group issued/Iran Part of gov't debts to be settled by Islamic Treasury bonds, sukuk ijara
The cabinet convened on Sunday and discussed various issues such as joining the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia and increasing Iran's assets in World Bank Group.
In the session that was chaired by President Rouhani, Council of Ministers approved the bill of Iran's membership in Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia.
The cabinet also issued the permit to increase Iran's assets in World Bank Group and the Replenishment Meeting of International Development Association (IDA18) worth $30 million.
The government also decided to settle its debts through issuing Islamic Treasury bonds and sukuk ijara (asset).
The cabinet also reviewed and discussed suggestions by the workgroup on the "Bill of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran" and approved a number of its clauses.
