Int’l experts meeting on numerical weather forecast in Iran soon
Tehran, Experts on 'numerical weather forecast' from Germany, South Korea, France and Sweden gather in Iran within the framework of the first international conference to present and review the latest achievements.
According to the Directorate of Applied Meteorology Development and Research of Iran's Meteorological Organization on Sunday, 'Given the effective and decisive role of numerical weather forecast quantitatively, the development and promotion of forecast products without focus on this method has no meaning'.
'In the world, countries such as Germany, the United States, France, Britain, China and Japan are focusing on the issue of numerical forecasting of the weather, and today the results of this model are being implemented,' said Farah Mohammadi, pointing out that the conference will be held from November 19-20. 'Numerical data is available on a global scale, but in view of the specific features of each region and in order to increase the accuracy of forecast products on a regional and local scale, the need for the implementation and development of regional models is inevitable.', she noted.
