IRAN: 18 INJURED IN TEHRAN’S STRONG WIND
TEHRAN, A strong wind in southern and eastern districts of Iran's capital Tehran on Monday night injured 18 people, Tehran's Emergency Center said in a statement on Tuesday.
The collapse of power post, fallen trees and objects were attributed to the causes of injuries.
Coupled with the destructive Typhoon, lightnings set fire to the vast areas of wheat plains in Varamin district in the south of the capital.
Power supply in some parts of the capital was cut off for a short time because of the strong wind of 83 km per hour.
People on the streets rushed to shelters in the fear of being hit by fallen objects or lightnings.
In a similar incident in Tehran on May 31, one person was killed and 76 others were injured
