Iran, Afghanistan to boost healthcare cooperation
Kabul, July 19, IRNA Ministers of health of Iran and Afghanistan have agreed to cooperate in the medical and medicinal sections and to build hospitals in Afghanistan.
Appreciating Iran for its recent years helps, Afghan Minister of Health Firoozeddin Firooz in a meeting with Afghan private and state sectors active in health said, Now again, we want Iran to cooperate with us in medicine, and curing contagious and noncontagious diseases.
Saying that in medical collaborations Iran is the best partner for Afghanistan, he also wanted Iran to train Afghan physicians and promote their skills.
He also urged Iranian companies to be active in Afghanistan.
Iranian Minister of Health Hassan Hashemi, also present in the meeting, said in the meeting, We try to solve the problems in medical health tourism, as well.
Saying that in medicine, Iran ranks 15 in the world and first in the region, Hashemi added Iran will give scholarship to 50 Afghan medical doctors every year and cooperate with Afghanistan in joint medicinal research and empowering the employees of the Ministry of Health of Afghanistan.
