Iran and Sweden discuss expansion of Scientific Cooperation
The Swedish ambassador in Tehran, Ms Helena SAngeland, visited the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) on Sunday 11th December 2016, and had a meeting with the Acting Minister in International Scientific Cooperation, Prof. Salar Amoli, and the Deputy of the Centre for International Scientific Cooperation, Dr. Koohian.
The new Swedish ambassador in Tehran announced Sweden's readiness and huge appetite for expanding scientific cooperation with Iran.
In this meeting, where the Deputy and Advisor of the Swedish ambassador, director of the Centre for GIS of Lund University, and directors for International Cooperations of Universities of Malayer, Guilan and Tehran University of Art were also present, various fields of scientific cooperation between universities and research centres of the two countries were discussed.
Professor Salar Amoli also welcomed expansion of scientific and technological cooperation with Sweden, while 'increase in the number of joint projects and conferences', 'exchange of faculty members', 'exchange of students for 6-9 months programs', 'implementation of joint projects', 'sharing technology and organizing joint higher education courses' could be amongst the pivots of such cooperation.
It is worth mentioning that the Swedish delegates, alongside with directors for International cooperation of top Swedish universities, plan to visit the directors of International Cooperations of Universities of Tehran, Art and Islamic Azad university.
