Iran artist wins int’l photo contest prize

Mahabad, Iranian photographer grabs the prize of the 35Award international photo contest that was held in Russia, said the head of the Culture and Islamic Guidance Organization in Mahabad city in West Azarbaijan Province.

Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Qader Moradi said Mikaeel Bayazidi's works were selected as top photos of the contest.

He added that in the Aerial Photo Section, Bayazidi's photo from the mountainous area of Hawraman in Iran's western provinces of Kordestan and Kermanshah competed with over 1,000 works from 413 photographers sent from 63 countries and received honorary diploma.

The Iranian photographer also won honorary diploma of the Portrait Section, where his work vied with 6,502 photos of 2,597 artists from 95 countries.

The 36yearold artist had received the honorary diploma of the previous edition of the event.
