Iran attends IFLA WLIC 2018
Kuala Lumpur, The 84th International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) World Library and Information Congress started work with the attendance of Iran in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.
An Iranian delegation from National Library of Iran headed by Fariborz Khosravi, deputy head of the body for research, planning and technology affairs participated in the event.
Iran is among the first countries that have attempted to make operational IFLA aims.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the event, Malaysian Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture is Mohammadin Bin Haji Ketapi said that 3,370 delegations from 111 countries attended the congress.
The 84th (IFLA) World Library and Information Congress will be underway until August 30.
The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions is the leading international body representing the interests of people who rely on libraries and information professionals.
