Iran, Azerbaijan discuss launching joint satellite: Iran ICT minister

Baku, Launching a joint satellite has been discussed during Iranian ICT minister's visit to Azerbaijan Republic, said the Iranian ICT minister Mohammad-Javad Azari-Jahromi on Wednesday.

Azari-Jahromi made the remarks speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency's correspondent in Baku at the end of his two-day visit to the Azerbaijani capital.

He said that the two countries have reached general agreements in this regard.

Referring to a quadrilateral meeting of Iran, Azerbaijan Republic, Turkey and Russia due to be held in Tehran in the first half of January, the minister said that Iran will propose the executive plan for building the joint satellite on the sidelines of Tehran meeting and if the two countries reach a final agreement, they will start building the satellite.
