Iran, Azerbaijan officials discuss defense cooperation
Tehran, The Iranian deputy defense minister and the Azeri defense minister on Tuesday discussed defense cooperation between the two countries.
Iranian Deputy Defense Minister for Industrial and Research Affairs Reza Mozaffari-Nia and Azerbaijan's Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov in the meeting discussed regional security as well as the bilateral military cooperation.
The two officials also discussed exchange of delegations and holding training courses.
The meeting occurred on the sidelines of an international exhibition of defense industry, where Iran is displaying its capabilities for the first time. The expo opened on Tuesday in Republic of Azerbaijan.
At the third edition of the international exhibition in Baku Expo Center, nearly 200 companies from across the world are showing their abilities in manufacturing military equipment for maritime, aerial and ground defense.
This is the first time Iran is participating in the exhibition. The country is displaying its defense achievements in three pavilions.
