Iran beats Morocco in 2018 World Cup
Tehran, Iran national football team beat the Morocco team 1-0 in 2018 World Cup in St. Petersburg, Russia on Friday.
The 2018 World Cup started on June 14 in a ceremony attended by dignitaries from various countries.
The first half of the game ended without goal while in the second half Aziz Bouhaddouz scored own goal in stoppage-time (93) to give Iran the first victory and the three points at the World Cup since 1998.
Members of Iran's team included Beiranvand, Rezaeian, Pouraliganji, Cheshmi, Hajisafi, Ebrahimi (Hosseini 80), Jahanbakhsh (Ghoddos 85), Shojaei (Taremi 68), Amiri, Ansarifard, Azmoun.
Iran will play against Portugal and Spain later in 2018 World Cup.
This is the second consecutive time that Iran advances for the World Cup.
