Iran calls for regional cooperation on nuclear safety
Tehran, Spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) on Tuesday called for regional cooperation on nuclear safety.
Iran is ready for cooperation with the regional countries on the safety of nuclear power plant and establishment of a network for cooperation on nuclear safety, Behrouz Kamalvandi told reporters on Tuesday.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he rejected the Israeli officials' claims on Iran's civilian nuclear activities and said that the Zionist regime is hatching a new conspiracy against Iran.
The official referred to the US pull out from the nuclear deal and said that cooperation between the two counties in nuclear field is unlikely.
He said that Iran has prepared itself for all scenarios, adding that if the nuclear deal is broken, Iran may decide to enhance its enrichment level to 20 percent from the current 3.67 percent.
The official said that Iran will only follow the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards and will drop implementation of additional protocol that it is implementing voluntarily, if the nuclear deal is scrapped.
He pointed to Iran's complaint with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to 'hold [the] US accountable for its unlawful re-imposition of unilateral sanctions,' and expressed hope that the court would take a step forward and condemn the US move.
