Iran, China officials stress elevation of academic relations

Tehran, Senior Iranian and Chinese officials on Saturday underlined development of academic and research cooperation between the two countries.

Ali Akbar Velayati, the head of Azad University's board of founders in a meeting with Wang G.C, head of the Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS) in the Peking University (PKU) said he is hopeful about the prospect of relations with China.

He called for establishment of two research institutes in Tehran and Beijing to boost two capitals' cooperation in the scientific and technological fields.

In the meantime, the Chinese official, for his part, welcomed development of cooperation with Iran in all fields, in particular science and technology.
