Iran ‘Chocolate’ to attend German film festival

Orumiyeh, Short film 'Chocolate' directed by Mehdi Heydari is to be displayed in the German 34th Interfilm Festival, said the head of Artistic Department of West Azarbaijan Province on Saturday.

'The event is one of the most important ones in the world; the best movie of the festival will be introduced to Oscar academy,' said Ahad Houshmand.

'Chocolate' has previously been the best foreign film of the Zero Plus Festival in Russia and was played in many world-renowned festivals in India, Thailand, Italy, the United Kingdom, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Turkey and the United States as well as internal festival of Roshd and Rassam short.

'Chocolate' is about a rustic boy who intentionally loses balance, falls down, and cries to have a certain old woman give him a chocolate.

The movie is a fillip to the families to pay more attention to their children and be more affectionate to them.

The 34th International Short Film Festival will be held in Berlin November 19 - 25.
