Iran cleric describes US president as liar
Tehran, Senior Iranian cleric on Friday described the US President Donald Trump as liar and rejected any talks with Washington.
'Trump is a liar and even if Iran enters talks with him, he will not be bound to his own obligations,' Tehran's interim Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani said in his second sermon to this week's Friday Prayers congregation.
The cleric added that the US president is trying to prove that the anti-Iranian sanctions are effective.
He referred to the role of Zionist regime and Saudi Arabia in the psychological war against Iran and said that they are pressuring Iran to force it to enter talks with the US.
People and officials should be vigilant and united against the enemy plots, Emami Kashani noted.
The US president announced on May 8 that Washington would pull out of Iran's nuclear deal and re-impose nuclear sanctions on the country.
This is while most world powers, including Russia, China, and the European Union have repeatedly stressed that keeping the deal is in the interest of the world peace and security.
