Iran condemns failed attempt against Venezuelan president
Tehran, Iran's Foreign Ministry condemned the failed assassination on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro describing it as a move for destabilizing the country in favor of its enemies.
'The act was a move to destabilize and make the country insecure,' spokesman of Iran's Foreign Ministry Bahram Qasemi said on Sunday.
Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro survived twin explosions on Saturday, international media reported on Saturday.
The Venezuelan president was attacked by drones when he was delivering a speech in a military gathering in Caracas.
Reports said two explosive drones went off near the president's stand, injuring seven soldiers.
President Maduro said the perpetrators have been arrested and investigation into the incident is in progress.
