Iran congratulates Indonesia on independence day
Tehran, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani congratulated Indonesia's independence anniversary on Saturday, expressing hope for strengthened bilateral regional and international relations between Tehran and Jakarta.
President Rouhani in his message to President Vidodo offered his hearty congratulations to him and all the Indonesian people on the 73rd independence anniversary of the country.
Indonesia in southeast Asia after more than 300 years colonization by the Netherlands declared independence on August 17, 1945.
However, the independence was formally granted by Queen Juliana of the Netherlands four years later.
No doubt that the bilateral relations on regional and international level will bear invaluable fruits both for Iran and Indonesia, as well as the Muslim world, he said.
He also wished health and success for his counterpart, and progress and happiness for all Indonesian people.
