Iran criticizes US role in destabilizing region
Tehran, Iran's secretary of the Supreme National Security Council on Monday criticized the US role in supporting terrorist groups and destabilizing the region.
Countries which suppose can guarantee their national security and the regional stability via US support are boosting terrorism in practice, Ali Shamkhani noted in a meeting with Iraqi National Security Advisor Faleh al-Fayad.
The US, the Zionist regime and certain regional countries have leading role in major crises in the region, he added.
Shamkhani condemned the recent US attack on Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces, also known as Al-Hashd Al-Shaabi, and said that Iran supports reconstruction of Iraq in the post-Daesh (ISIS) era.
During the meeting, al-Fayad thanked Iran's support for Iraq in its fight against terrorism.
The official called for improving all-out ties with Iran, in particular in the economic field.
