Iran crowned champion of Asian junior volleyball tourney

Tehran, Iran’s junior volleyball team defeated South Korea to stand first in Asian Junior Volleyball Championships in Bahrain.

Iran’s team faced the South Korean team on the last day of the 19th Asian Junior Volleyball Championships and won all three sets to pick up the trophy of the competitions.

The 18 rounds of Asian volleyball championships have been won by four different national teams. Iran and South Korea have each won five times.

Iranian volleyball players had earlier beat Chinese, Indian, Kazakh and Thai teams to advance to final.

Iran won gold medal in 2014 Asian Junior Volleyball Championship hosted by Bahrain as well as 2017 competition in Iran. This time, it won gold medal in the same event in Bahrain.
