Iran crowned in World Cadet Greco-Roman Wrestling C’ships
Tehran, Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers won the early championship title at the 2018 World Cadet Wrestling Championships in Croatia after 22 years.
This is while two other wrestlers are to vie for gold medals and another for bronze hours later.
World Cadet Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships started in Zagreb on July 6 and Iranian athletes have so far grabbed one gold, one silver and two bronze medals in the first five weight classes.
Iran's representatives in the second five weight classes Shahin Bodaqi and Mohammad Nosrati advanced to final in 60kg and 92kg categories while Amir Reza Deh-Bozorgi is to compete in the 45kg weight class.
Deh-Bozorgi is to face Bulgarian rival tonight.
Based on Wrestling Federation, Iran's championship has been finalized.
