Iran deaf wrestlers rank 3rd in world championships

Tehran, June 15, IRAN - Iranian deaf Greco Roman wrestlers took the third place in world wrestling championship in Russia by winning four silver and three bronze medals, according to the Deaf Sports Federation of Iran.

The 5th World Deaf Senior and 3rd World Deaf Cadet and Junior Greco Roman and Freestyle Wrestling Championships are underway in the Russian city of Vladimir from June 12-19.

Seyyed Sadeq Abolvafaei, Mahdi Sadri , Mahdi Bakhshi and Abuzar Rabizadeh grabbed silver medals while Ali Farahani, Meisam Qabshe Dezfuli and Hashem Biabani won bronze medals in the world championships.

The Russian and Turkish teams ranked first and second respectively.
