Iran declares one day holiday in capital for presidential inauguration
Tehran, July 31, Iranian government declared one day holiday in the capital, Tehran to prepare the grounds for presidential inauguration ceremony.
The Secretary of the Iranian Cabinet Mohsen Haji Mirzaei said: Due to large presence of foreign delegations in Tehran during the presidential inauguration ceremony, the government apparati and the public institutions are closed on Saturday, August 5.
August 5 declared holiday to facilitate traffic of foreign guests and hold the inauguration ceremony in the best way, the official added.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Thursday will authorize Rouhani to take office.
Several foreign guests, heads of states and high ranking officials including the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini are scheduled to take part in President oath-taking ceremony.
Rouhani was re-elected for a second term in office on May 19, for another four years, sweeping over 23 million or 57 percent of the votes.
