Iran determined to promote cooperation, develop economic, cultural, scientific and technological ties with Indonesia
The President emphasised, "The will and decision of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to increase cooperation and develop economic, cultural, scientific and technological relations with the Republic of Indonesia".
Speaking on Tuesday in a meeting held for receiving the letter of credence of the new Indonesian Ambassador to Tehran, President Hassan Rouhani expressed hope that the Tehran-Jakarta cooperation would be developed as soon as possible.
Referring to his visit to Indonesia and meeting with the country's scholars, the President emphasised, "The concept of Islam that two countries believe in is based on the principles of moderate and compassionate Islam".
At the same meeting, the new Ambassador of Indonesia to Tehran Mr Ronny Prasetyo Yuliantoro presented his credentials to the President, and referred to the Indonesian president's emphasis on developing and strengthening the two countries' relations in all fields, the need for mutual cooperation and the continued presence of Iranian and Indonesian companies in the two countries and the implementation of joint projects and taking advantage of new opportunities for cooperation".
