Iran doing its share in food security: Azeri DepMin
Baku, Iran is doing its share in world food security with producing rice, said the deputy minister of agriculture of Azerbaijan Republic on Thursday.
'Iran has a great deal of experience in planting rice, which is of great significance for Central and Western Asia,' Seifeddin Talibov told the reporters on the sidelines of the sixth meeting the Technical Management Committee (TMC) for Central and West Asia, held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Talibov added that Iranian experts are highly active in programs.
He said that the meeting is very important for sharing experiences, discussing methods to plant rice during droughts, and fighting pests.
The sixth meeting the TMC for Central and West Asia is being held in Baku and Lankaran, Azerbaijan Republic.
