Iran, EU envoys hold talks on JCPOA
Moscow, Iran's Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei and European Union Ambassador to Russian Federation Markus Ederer on Monday exchanged views on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Syrian developments and Afghanistan on Monday.
In the meeting, Sanaei underlined the need to observe Iran's interests in accordance with the JCPOA.
Considering the latest situation in Syria, Sanaei evaluated conditions in the country as 'positive and improving.'
Ederer expressed the EU support for the JCPOA and underlined the union's efforts to honor Iranian interests withing the deal.
He also evaluated trilateral cooperation among Iran, the EU and Russia for implementation of the JCPOA as 'very important.'
Ederer appreciated Iran for hosting three million Afghan refugees.
