Iran expects Pakistan strong response to terrorism: Spokesman

Iran expects Pakistan's strong response to terrorist elements who are behind insecurity along Iran's borders, Foreign Ministry spokesman said.

Commenting on Iran and Pakistan talks on border, Bahram Qasemi voiced hope that the talks lead to releasing kidnapped Iranian soldiers.

Qasemi noted that Pakistan itself is not the source of problem and sometimes, terrorists who are linked to other circles are behind the events.

Iran expects Pakistan to give a strong response to such action, he said.

Commenting on assassination of a Pakistani religious leader and senator Sami-ul-Haq, Qasemi said that any type of terrorism is condemned.

Fourteen Basij (volunteer forces) and border guard forces were abducted by terrorists in Iran's Sistan-Baluchestan border with Pakistan on October 15. Jeish ul-Adl terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the act.
