Iran female volleyball team beats Australia in Asian champs

Tehran, Iranian women's volleyball team defeated Australia 3-0 on Tuesday in Asian Women's Volleyball Cup and advanced to quarter-finals.

Iranian women's national volleyball team won three consecutive sets in Tuesday's match against Australia in their last game in the preliminary round.

As the group C leader, Iran advanced to the quarterfinals and is planned to face group B runner-up China on Tuesday, according to fixtures.

The 2018 Asian Women's Volleyball Cup kicked off on September 16 and is underway until September 23 in the Thai city of Nakhon Ratchasima in Isan Province.

In the last edition of the tournament hosted by Vietnam in 2016, Iran stood in the sixth place.
