Iran FM addresses Vienna meeting on post-US exit JCPOA
Vienna, In a meeting of Iran and G4+1 foreign ministers in Vienna on Friday, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif talked about the condition of Iran deal, also known as JCPOA, after the United States unilaterally withdrew from the accord on May 8.
The meeting began in Vienna's Cobourg Hotel earlier chaired by EU Foreign Policy chief Federica Mogherini.
The European parties to the deal have offered Iran a package of proposals to convince the country that its economic, trade and financial interests will be secured even after the US exit from the deal.
Discussing the Europe's proposed package is the main agenda of the present talks in the Austrian capital.
In separate meetings earlier today, Zarif met with Ms. Mogherini and his counterparts from Russia and China.
The Russian and Chinene foreign ministers also had a meeting and each one had separate meetings with Ms. Mogherini before the talks began in Cobourg Hotel.
Prior to the talks, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas told reporters that the meeting today is about the future of JCPOA and that Iran can benefit from its economic interests.
