Iran FM ends Pakistan tour
Islamabad, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif left Pakistan for Tehran on Friday, ending his two-day official visit.
During his tour to Pakistan, Zarif held talks with Prime Minister Imran Khan, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser and Finance Minister Asad Umar.
He also held a meeting with Pakistan Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the army headquarters.
All Pakistani news papers and TV channels gave wide coverage to Zarif's Islamabad visit.
Iranian Foreign Minister arrived in Islamabad a day earlier on a two-day visit. The Iranian minister is the first top foreign diplomat to visit Pakistan after the new government came into power earlier this month.
It is pertinent to mention that this was Zarif's eighth visit to Pakistan since he became Iranian foreign minister in 2013.
