Iran FM flies to Pakistan

Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif departed here for Islamabad on Thursday to hold talks with senior Pakistani officials on various issues pertinent to mutual cooperation.

About Islamabad visit, spokesman for Iranian Foreign Ministry Bahram Qasemi said on Wednesday that Zarif is to meet and confer with new Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on the issues of mutual interest.

During his two-day stay in the neighboring country, Zarif is also scheduled to hold meetings with his Pakistani counterpart and other senior officials of that country, including finance minister, Army commander and chairmen of National Assembly and Senate, Qasemi said.
