Iran FM receives new UN coordinator
Tehran, Iranian foreign minister on Monday received the new UN resident coordinator and UNDP resident representative in Iran.
During the meeting, Mohammad Javad Zarif and Ugochi Daniels conferred on issues of mutual interest.
Also in a separate meeting, the new Senegal ambassador to Iran submitted a copy of its credentials to the Iranian foreign minister.
In the meantime, Zarif attended a farewell ceremony for the outgoing ambassadors of Japan and Kazakhstan in Iran.
The Kazak envoy submitted the Order of Friendship to the Iranian foreign minister.
The Order of Friendship is a state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan, introduced in 1995. It is awarded to individuals for the promotion of international and civil consensus in society and the promotion of peace, friendship and cooperation between peoples.
