Iran gets 3rd victory in IBSA Goalball World Championships

Tehran, Iran's national goalball team got its third consecutive win Tuesday by defeating Japan 11-8 in the IBSA Goalball World Championships underway in Malmo, Sweden.

According to the Deaf and Blind Sports Federation, the Iranian national goalball team consisting of Mohsen Jalilvand, Hassan Jafari, Mostafa Nasiri, Milad Souri, Mohammad Saranji and Mohammad Mansouri, has already defeated Egyptian and Canadian teams and tied with American rival. It was defeated by Brazil.

The team is going to compete against the national goalball team of the Czech Republic Wednesday.

Some 16 teams are participating in the 2018 Goalball World Championship underway in Malmo from June 3-8.
