Iran hopes to see the return of the two sides to negotiations and a political solution to the Ukraine crisis, Amirabdollahian further noted.

Referring to the attempts made by the Zionist regime in the region, he added that they will not allow the Zionist regime to threaten the security, stability, and progress of the region.

In response to the question about Iran’s solution to the unilateral sanctions, he noted that Iran follows two parallel ways; one of them is based on the framework of President Raisi’s government’s sustainable economic development plan and the other one is diplomatic talks for lifting the sanctions.

Referring to efforts to return to the Vienna talks, Amirabdollahian stressed that the opposing parties, specifically the US and European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell and Enrique Mora, continue their efforts to return all parties to the negotiations, adding that in the past few hours, the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s Deputy for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani has been in constant contact with Mora, adding that Iran hopes all parties to return to the talks.

Lavrov also noted that the Russian Federation and Putin repeatedly explained that Russia had no other choice but to secure the interests of the Russian and Donbas people.

He went on to say that there is no relation between Russia’s special operations in Ukraine and the food security crisis and everyone knows the crisis and its consequences were created a few years ago.
