Iran, ICRC discuss latest developments in Syria

Tehran, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer and Senior Assistance of Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari have reviewed latest developments in Syria on Sunday.

The two sides also discussed Astana peace talks, the performance of the committee for exchange of detainees and missing persons, humanitarian conditions in Idlib and issues related to repatriation of Syrian refugees.

Developments in Yemen, fresh efforts to solve crisis in the country and facilitating issuance of humanitarian aid to Yemen were among other topics discussed by both sides.

Sending humanitarian aid and reducing suffering of the war-stricken people in Yemen and Syria have always been on Iran's agenda.
