Baghdad, Iraq Electricity Minister said that Iraqi National Electricity Company is to hold talks with an Iranian company called 'Sanir' to finalize AlDebes new gas power plant in Kirkuk.
Luay alKhatteeb in a statement announced that during his recent trip to Kirkuk, he ordered Iraqi national electricity company to finalize AlDebes project with the capacity of 320MW.
According to the statement, 65 percent of the project had been finalized earlier.
Accordingly, a proposal has been presented by the Russian company 'Power Machines' to prepare an opportunity for investment, including two production units with the total capacity of 320MW in AlDebes.
However, the statement did not refer to more details on cooperation between Iran and Iraq, but the issue was one the main topics discussed during Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's trip to Iraq and Iraqi Prime Minister Adil AbdulMahdi's visit to Tehran.
