Iran, Iraq holding 2nd session of joint political committee
Baghdad, July 23, The second session of the joint political committee between Iran and Iraq started work here on Sunday.
The two-day session of political committee being co-chaired by the deputies foreign minister of the two countries is to review bilateral relations as well as important global and regional developments.
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Jaberi-Ansari arrived in the Iraqi capital on Saturday afternoon.
Prior to the today session, Jaberi-Ansari held talks with the Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari on the international, regional and bilateral questions.
In Baghdad, the Iranian official is also due to meet with other senior Iraqi leaders.
