Iran, Iraq to broaden military cooperation
Tehran, Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari said on Thursday that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq are to broaden military cooperation in line with both sides' interests.
He made the remarks in a meeting with the commander of the Iraqi Army Aviation (IQAA) in Tehran.
Islamic Republic of Iran Army Aviation (IRIAA) known as Havaniruz is regarded as the first military might in the region and there is no rival at the Middle East, Heidari said.
Iran is selfsufficient in various military fields and is able to train pilots while rendering highly standard technical training to Iraqi forces, he said.
Sharing a very long borderline with Iraq, the Islamic Republic of Iran is to help Iraq jointly eradicate global arrogance in the region for ever, he said.
The Iraqi commander, for his part highlighted significant capability of the Iranian army and said grounds for expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the field are well prepared and both forces can play their prominent role to help increase security of the region.
Iran's military apparatus are highly sophisticated and both sides can help improve security of the region, the Iraqi commander said.
