Iran, Nicaragua ink cultural cooperation MoU

Tehran, IRNA – The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Nicaragua have signed an MoU on cultural cooperation for five years.

Head of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) Mohammad Mahdi Imanipour and Director General of Nicaraguan Institute of Culture Luis Enrique Morales Alonso signed the document in a ceremony which was held both physically and virtually.

Imanipour said in a speech that increasing the knowledge of the two nations from each other and expanding bilateral cooperation in media, cinema, publication, translation and cultural programs were necessary.

Morales Alonso expressed content over the signing of the MoU, saying that it would pave the way for the two nations to know each other.

Based on the five-year MoU, Iran and Nicaragua will cooperation on cultural fields between artists and cultural institutes and holding cultural weeks and workshops for restoration of historical objects.
