Iran, Oman FMs meet in NY
New York, On the sidelines of the United Nations Security Council General Assembly Iran and Oman's foreign ministers, respectively Mohammad Javad Zarif and Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, discussed mutual and regional issues in a bilateral meeting.
The meeting was held in the Iranian foreign minister Zarif's residence on Wednesday.
Zarif arrived in New York on Sunday evening, alongside President Hassan Rouhani, to partake in the 73rd UNGA.
Zarif attended the General Assembly, made a speech in honor of Nelsen Mandela and another in the General Assembly, and also met with the 4+1 foreign ministers.
Iranian foreign minister also read a statement, jointly with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, in support of Iran Deal and creating a especial mechanism to provide Iran with the deal's economic interests.
He is also to meet his Indian counterpart in the UN.
