Iran, Pakistan agree to enhance parliamentary cooperation

Islamabad, Iran and Pakistan have agreed to enhance parliamentary cooperation and exploit potential for increasing economic collaboration to boost bilateral ties.

The consensus was reached at a meeting between Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost and Chairman of Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani in Islamabad.

The Chairman of Senate said Iran and Pakistan have always cooperated with each other at the international forums and have adopted a unified stance on different issues.

He said the recent years have witnessed enhanced cooperation in defense and security areas.

Ambassador Mehdi Honardoost stressed for further boosting bilateral cooperation in different sectors through enhanced interaction.

He assured his all-out cooperation to enhance border trade between Iran and Pakistan.
