Iran President in parliament to defend cabinet picks
Tehran, Aug 20, President Hassan Rouhani arrived in Majlis (Parliament) Sunday to give his final speech to defend his proposed ministers.
Members of Iranian Parliament are now reviewing the qualifications of the proposed minister for Sport and Youths Affairs Masoud Soltanifar.
The process to give vote of confidence will also begin alphabetically today.
Rouhani was re-elected as the president for a second term after winning a landmark victory on May 19.
President Rouhani took office on August 5. Then, he proposed 17 out of 18 nominees for ministerial posts of his cabinet.
The proposed ministers' plans are alphabetically being debated at Majlis sessions.
