Iran refuses to comment on Khashoggi’s disappearance

Tehran, Iran's foreign ministry on Monday declined to comment on disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

'I will not judge the issue and the reports by Saudi media,' Iran's foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said at his weekly press conference.

He emphasized that as long as the issue is not clear, he would not make any remark on it.

Khashoggi, a columnist for the Washington Post, has not been seen since October 2 when he entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

Riyadh is under pressure from the international community to explain the disappearance. Turkey has said that it is investigating the case.
