Iran, Romania to cooperate in the field of animal health, veterinary medicine/ Cabinet votes positive for Ministry of Interior’s proposed governor-general

In a meeting held on Wednesday morning, chaired by Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, the cabinet appointed Mr Esmail Zarei Koosha as the Governor-General of Kurdistan after reviewing his plans and records.

In addition, the cabinet approved the amendment to the expenditure of credits related to the “Law on Strategic Action to Lift Sanctions and Protect the Interests of the Iranian Nation”.

Given the special role of Romania as one of the most important producers and exporters of livestock products in the European Union and its good trade relations with the Middle East, the Council of Ministers issued a permit to the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad to negotiate, initial and sign a cooperation agreement in the field of animal health and veterinary medicine between the governments of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Romania.

The Council of Ministers further authorised the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance to coordinate with the Vice President for Legal Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to negotiate, initial and sign an interim agreement to encourage and support mutual investment between the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the governments of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Sultanate of Oman.
