Iran, Russia officials discuss regional developments
Moscow, Senior Iranian and Russian officials on Friday discussed the latest regional and international developments.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East and North Africa Mikhail Bogdanov and the Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Mehdi Sanaei discussed the US sabotage in the process of normalization of relations between Damascus and the Arab capitals.
Developments in Syria and Iraq as well as Russia initiation for collective security in the Persian Gulf were other topics discussed during the meeting.
Iran, Russia and Turkey are the initiators of ceasefire in Syria and guarantors of Astana talks which have been the most successful initiative in resolution of the crisis, there.
Since March 2011, Syria has been suffering from unrest and terrorist acts.
