Iran, Russia ready to confront US sanctions
Moscow, Iran and Russia have adopted a series of policies to confront US anti-Iran sanctions, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ryabkov said.
Speaking in an interview with Russian newspaper ' Rossiyskaya Gazeta', Ryabkov referred to standing against US sanctions as one of the issues mentioned in his recent meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Araqchi in Tehran.
'During the meeting, we held talks with the Iranian side prior to the UN General Assembly ministerial meeting slated to be held on September 23,' he added.
He pointed to Iran's readiness and tendency for preserving the nuclear deal with P5+1, saying all parties agree that keeping this international accord will be to the benefit of all sides including Iran and Russia.
Washington is ready to take various measures against Iran and this is very dangerous, Ryabkov noted.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Russian diplomat referred to Iran oil exports, saying paving the way for continuation of Iran oil exports to international markets is of importance.
He called for adopting a formula and a strategy for responding to the second wave of US sanctions against Iran to minimize its harms and to solve issues related to economic cooperation.
He also dismissed the decision made by some European firms to refrain having cooperation with Iran to remain safe from US pressures.
Ryabkov underlined Russia's determination to stand against US in political and economic fields.
